"Just Guns take everything the Austin music scene has to offer and blend it into their own unique sound. You hear one song and label them a country band, yet you hear another and can put them on the college radio along with Death Cab and Interpol. There is a definte country twang to the guitars in almost every song (thanks to a pedal steel that is ever present), but the vocals vary from what you hear coming out of the honky-tonk on the side of a country road to the plaintive shoe-gaze you hear on your local college radio show." -Instrumental Analysis

I told you you have pretty eyes
And haven't seen your glasses since.
Can you see me any better
Or is it just coincidence?
Your eyebrow is pierced to balance the mole
On the left side of your lip,
And I am the one who balances
Your body as you sleep.
There is a softness in your eyes,
Surrounded by deep blue,
Like the moonlight edge of a midnight cloud
That is backlit by the moon.
And I can feel where your skin is raised
From the ink in your tatoos:
A map of your life, a way for you to keep
What you never want to lose.
And the days roll by outside of this place
In the vacuum of time that we create
I spent a lifetime under the sea
It was much louder than your heart could beat
I kissed your cheek so soaked and salty
But the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
As soon as I thought I could breathe
I pulled you down underneath with me
And passed my final breath into your lips
Only to sink and leave you to swim
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
And the waves only wanted to drown me
So you've got your doubts?
That's not a surprise to find out;
I've got some, too.
And I don't know why,
Because I know that we both tried,
But something's just not right.
Sometimes I still want more.
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
We're waiting for the change
Because things are not the same
But I don't know if we'll make it.
I know you feel it, too,
And I don't know what to tell you.
I don't know what to tell you.
It cuts me to the core.
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Tell me, what's in store?
Is this the end?
I can almost see it.
Can you feel it?
And tell me, my dear,
Is there any way out of here,
Or do we have to live it?
My heart's an open door.
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
Is this all there is? Is this all there is?
I don't mind the heartache
I kind of like the pain
At least I'm feeling something
It lets me know I'm sane
I don't mind the distance
I kind of like the train
But with your resistance
It seems to be in vain
So if you want me anymore,
Come and knock on my door.
If you want me anymore,
Come and knock on my door.
I'm tired of trying
And wasting all my time
So if you want me
You'd better make up your mind
So if you want me anymore,
Come and knock on my door.
If you want me anymore,
Come and knock on my door.
Track Name: Waiting to Be
Sad tunes on buses
In New England colors;
The light fades into night.
Two years it's been since
I missed your presence;
I crawl back to the light.
And we're waiting to be
Waiting to be
Waiting to be okay.
Memories all come back
All along the train tracks
As they might have yesterday.
In a four hour ride
Your smile fades from my mind
With what I didn't say.
And we're waiting to be
Waiting to be
Waiting to be okay.
When I get home at night,
I play my guitar to try to unwind,
To try to unwind.
And I sing you a song,
I sing you a song to get you off my mind,
Get you off my mind.
And the rest I wrote down but I can’t tell you,
No I won’t tell you.
And the rest I wrote down but I won’t tell you,
No I can’t tell you.
And I’ll sing you a song to get you off my mind,
Get you off my mind.
